This subject has been in my face and on my heart very heavily lately so I knew God wanted me to write about it. I was led to a question in one the groups I’m in and here’s what it read:
Q: The biggest thing holding me back is my thinking. Is it okay with God for me to make money? Will I lose my focus on God?
Let’s talk about God and Money
God blesses those who have a pure heart for him. It’s crucially important as Christian business owners that we learn and apply the character of Christ to our life and business so that when you do receive blessings (even the little blessings, yes you count those) you can use your resources to help/serve others.
Your little blessings are big blessings. What you do with your blessings will determine what other blessings come your way.
Blessings come in many forms. Be aware of all of your current blessings. It’s crucially important to understanding how to appreciate what God has already blessed you with. It starts with gratitude for what you already have.
You are reading this article. That in itself is a blessing because you can read. You see? Everything is a blessing. You must have and use this way of thinking all the seconds of your life. Struggles are also blessings in disguise, including death.
Here’s a personal recent blessing I received. I was blessed with more time to spend with my Mom and help her with my faithful heart once her sister passed away unexpectedly. In return, I am serving another new two clients. With that income, I was able to financially help my Mother out with her rent. I say this with such honor, because God did this. Not me. Glory to God.
People assume Money is the answer to our problems, a measure of God’s blessing and his ability to provide for us. “Money” can trick us into thinking our value lies in how much we are able to make/save and it gives the false promise of a safety net that can only be found in the Lord.
Money can control you if you allow it to, but remember what God says about serving two masters.
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
This doesn’t go to say that you can’t have money and serve God. You must ask yourself where is your heart?
God already knows your heart.
If you’re focusing on money then you aren’t living your God given purpose.
Your focus should never be money. Your focus should remain on serving others in every area of your life. Get more details on my 90-day Private mentorship by clicking here.
Money is not why you are here. You are here to serve others. Follow Gods word and you will have wealth. Preach Gods word and you will be rewarded with fulfillment.
When I receive blessings, the resources I’m blessed with is contributed to those who have been put in my path to help. I give. I donate. Even when resources may seem small, I still give because I have this undeniable faith that God is providing for me and my family because I am fulfilling Gods purpose for my life. I also talk about this with my private clients looking to create a faith-based business. If interested you can get more details on my revised coaching program by clicking here.
Now, if you aren’t making the money you want in your life and or business but remain faithful to God, ask yourself these questions.
Do you believe you are worthy to have wealth?
What are you actively doing with your current blessings that God should bless you with more; abundance, freedom, health, etc?
Are you giving credit to God for your blessings?
Will you share your blessings?
Will you serve others in more ways?

Bible Verses to help you focus on God rather than Money.
Mark 9:23 And Jesus said “All things are possible to those who believe.”
John 14-12-14 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.” At once the woman was made well.
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV) And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Deuteronomy 8:18 “But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”
